Chicago Bar is a
blues band formed in 1998 in Oulu, Finland. The band
mostly plays Chicago blues from various periods, with
West-Coast blues mixed in. In addition, soulblues is also
included in the band's repertoire. The band has been
influenced by such greats as B.B, Freddie and Albert King,
Otis Rush, Jimmy Johnson, Andrew Brown, and other
well-known as well as lesser known artists. Chicago Bar
frequently performs less often heard music by these
artists. It respects blues traditions but also introduces
its own "blue notes".
